![]() its there, and when pausing you can hear a crackling sound. It will work with the Vulkan driver (using very accurate if low-resolution N64 graphics). Sound on Higan/Bsnes is good, with improvements of the snes on sgba, but theres a humming. More precise algorithm A more precise algorithm is used for aspect-ratio correction in the Center and Scale modes, that uses roundingof the scaled-image width. Input-frequency modification helps there, as in Snes9x, but that just makes the audio sound not like it is supposed to sound. To prevent video choppiness, I enable 'video sync,' but in any case it makes the audio become choppy. EDIT: absolute same thing happens with bsnes. Now, open a ROM using the ParaLLel 64 core. In bsnes-mt, the 8:7 PAR mode can be enabled via the 8:7 PAR instead of 4:3 AR checkbox in the Settings Output menu. At worse, Ill see what I can do with bsnes later on today. I don't recall what byuu's SGB support was a decade ago, but it has to be byuuware or original hardware. Next, quit Retroarch and reopen it, go to Settings -> Drivers -> Video and change the driver to vulkan. Given the state of emulation in 2010, and Christine Love's in-depth exploration of uncommon SGB features, including Space Invaders and OBJ mode(lol), I'm pretty sure those are screencaps from a real Super Nintendo. Unfortunately, theres no cross-platform standard for displaying video, playing audio, and accepting input from game controllers. ![]() I have toggled 16 bit playback and Sound Sync to no avail. Any other playback rate produces worse crackling, except for 8 Khz, which actually eliminates all crackling (the only fix I've found for Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts), but produces terrible sound. I have no idea what emulator(s) they used to get those screenshots, but given that it's an entire article about the quirks and subtleties of Super Game Boy features, I expect those screenshots should be an accurate representation. The playback rate is set to 32Khz (SNES). In case people are worried that mGBA is an inadequate reference for what a Super Game Boy game *should* look like, there's more screenshots of KoF '96 in the classic Fuck The Super Game Boy article. ![]()
